6th thought : www.hypnoskull.com

There we are, fast, 207 miles-per-hour which is 333 km/h.

Damnation to the time.
Hate filled their veins and they jumped from the bridge opening their parachutes only a nanosecond before the point-of-no-return. A giant tattoo on one of the dudes arm said 'Innocence is paranoïa' and he meant every single word of it. Those people lived like they had nothing to lose I can tell you. Kissing the edges and borders of what all 'normal' people called 'going over it'. A play of Russian roulette for the chosen few, which were often marked as 'dumb' by those 'normals'. Guess it was their hidden secret wish and they just 'had' to say they were 'dumb'. When he hit the ground a bit too hard, he broke one of the lil bones in his foot but he couldn't care a shit about it. 'Part of the game' he thought by himself and he left the place.

Television time.
Switching through all the channels, he thought : 'what a fucking waste of time this is'. Yeah, constantly the same images and overproduced mass hysteria embedded in obvious and sometimes irritatingly 'hidden' corporate commercial messages for products we need so much. Not. Why am I still alive ? Because they want me to. They need me. Another cigarette is lighted and the sound of the first inhalation (the burning of the first tobacco in the cigarette) is just violently loud cause there was this well timed sudden second of silence. 'Beautiful', he thought. So nice. It's like they made it specially. Thanks for the silence. It's the best television moment of the last decade. That's what I know.

Irrational pleasure.
One of them chose something real strange : one fine day, 323 days ago to be exact, he decided to become someone who stands at the sidelines. Big time fun it was. During his so called 'normal' daily habits he played a role like an actor. Face like this, face like that, words they want to hear, reactions they want to have. Nice. And in the meantime he was someone else. Someone better ? That is not relevant. Some would call him a liar and a fraud, a cheater or a punk, he just kept it with 'watchdog'. Try it, it works and it will free yourself from your habits and routine-thinking indoctrinated by the social strong around you.

Compassion ? Keep it please.
Get lost. I don't need any compassion. What I really need is essentialism. Seems like everyone forgot this. Hey ! E-S-S-E-N-T-I-A-L-I-S-M. It means I need those things YOU consider as boring and non-interesting. But get over it, cause I don't care what you think about it. I rather WANT you to lose any essentialism so I can reach a much different level. So : live like you do and don't stop it. Stuff yourself in materials made of plastic and with a 'pricetag' on it which gives you a fucking identity. I don't mind, you deserve it ! But take that fake compassionate face off, and forget the comparisons to your own wonderful 8 hours-a-day with my empire of essentialism.

(Hasta la vista, we are ready to become real loud soon.)

the new era of corporate gameplaying
5th thought : www.hypnoskull.com
Corporate gameplaying. That's what's up lately. Just wondering. What was again the 'aim' for any company ? Oh yes, almost forgot : making gain. Cash. Hard cash. Fact is that the corporation becomes more and more important to many people. The so called new generation seems to identify so much with 'the corporation' as such that it seems to be that they kinda 'forget' the real meaning of working for a corporation as such : or 'working' in general.

The need to work.
Let's put things straight and easy : why do we work ? To get money. To pay bills and in the end to pay for the things - either material or non-material - we like to do as a person. That's all very personal and individual. But hey. Offcourse enjoying 'a work' is just great. Cause then you combine and work and the pleasant thing that they pay you for it.

Artificial groups. Can work. Some simple 'rules'.
They can work. A group of people can work, even if it is as 'unlogical' and artificial as some random and 'diverse' group of people at a company. Just some simple rule : it's actually a 'very German' rule. Since I'm half German I kinda know. Keep a distance, be polite, respect the other as 'another' person and don't intrude in their personal atmosphere. In German they call it being 'Sachlich'. I don't want the Japanese corporate system where the company becomes this 'replacement' of the personal live - where the company kinda intrudes so heavily and deeply into the employee's life, that he / she is actually totally depending from them, not even financially but also emotionally.

Are ultra-individuals a threat to the corporate world ?
Offcourse not. Ultra-individuals on the contrary can be perfect 'watchdogs' - people who see the company like an outsider would see it. They see things maybe clearer. They are maybe more neutral cause of their individual approach. They are not enemies, but are often outcasted because of the 'no-group' attitude they carry around.

Facts.
Too much 'closeness' brings friction. People are people. People never change. Some people only want 'the same' around or they get scared. So far for the ongoing polarisation - and that not only in the corporate world. What is the problem of the ultra-individual ? They don't group. Because they ARE ultra-individuals. And sure as hell an entire army of people like that are kinda ranged-out as we speak. But guess who will be not falling into the 'black gap' when work is done ? Guess who will have a parallel life ? Guess who will in the end have the most 'life-experience' ? Word.

how flemish politicians lost all sense for reality.

4th thought : www.hypnoskull.com
okay... I know it's hard for most flemish people here to read this, but hey, it's just my humble and down to earth personal opinion. How flemish politics seems to lose all sense for reality these last few days is just unbelievable. Now ok, we are living in a crazy country for sure. 5 fucking governments for nearly 10 million people is just a joke, right. A government for Belgium, one for Flanders, one for the french speaking part called 'Wallonie' and one for the 100.000 german speaking people, and even a government for a city, namely Brussels. So yeah... kinda complicated.

So what's going on ?
The last decade, the flemish part of Belgium went through sudden changes, more autonomy and more rights and stuff like that. Read : flanders has the most (economic) power and politicians try to make it even an 'own country'. That idea was launched by some bunch of extremely rightwing politicians and was easily taken over by the more mainstream political parties. An artificialy made 'conflict' model between french speaking (and former aristocratic and economic / cultural important) group of people and the dutch speaking (flemish) part made it even to the level of the regular citizens.
While mainstream politics moved slowly more to right wing political ideas and just plain arrogant 'overesteem' of the flemish part (politicians), the major part of the inhabitants of flanders didn't even mind this 'evolution'.

Media work like media : only black & white.
Politicians don't know a shit about how media work, that is clear. Media bring their own stories and they bring them very black & white. So now, because of some facts, some international media made a very dark and negative summary on flanders. People living here are fascists ? Right. Some, maybe even too many, are indeed. Very true. And why do these media say it ? Yep. Because flemish politics is heading more right year after year. More demands to foreigners (certain foreigners, those who are NOT interesting on an economic basis), more closed towards other cultures... Open conflicts between french speaking politicians and dutch speaking ones, a ridiculous government headed by an even more ridiculous prime minister, indeed... Reasons enough for a rational journalist to write this.

Unfortunately...
Unfortunately there are lots of silent inhabitants in this country, people who totally NOT agree with the political game which is played here. Open minded people who want progression rather then stubborn and empty headed conservativism of the worst kind. Count me in that group also by the way. Offcourse they don't care about us. Like in Austria, when jörg haider was winning elections, suddenly all Austrians were fascists, which was a joke offcourse. So I feel not offended, but I am mad angry the same time, on all those stupid fucks who believe 'flanders' means something in this world. 6 million people for god's sake, and those who mean something internationally are all known for their open mindedness. Overesteem is a bad thing to have, and most flemish people see themselves way too important. So okay, now we are seen internationally as a bunch of subtle fascists. Yet I and thousands of others don't.

leaping back into time : the new moral order.

3rd thought www.hypnoskull.com
amazed I am. what's the year now ? two-thousand-and-eight. right. 2008. okay, I'm this product of the seventies. writing 1973 made me grow up in the seventies and the eighties. I'm a media junkie, even in times when I say to myself : 'fuck it, I am not going to consume messages today', I can't just not pick up news messages. hard times closing myself completely for it. so, funny country I live in, bad ass 'important' Belgium indeed. ok don't get me wrong, even if I don't have 'pure' Belgian roots, cause I'm allready a mash-up, some war child even, a cold-war child, I like this lil crazy country. we had some great shit going on here. obviously everyone says now : oh yeah, the chocolates, the beers... was not really thinking about this. I was thinking more about some culture some of the inhabitants of this minicountry here realised. obviously great painters... artists, photographers, fashion designers, and some musicians. no candy-fucking-dulfer without Belgium's Adolphe Sax, yeah, who invented the sax. no damn' ebm without people like front 242, those brussels-based old warriors of electronic dance music. anyway, what I am saying is that even if I have lots of negative things to say about good 'ole Belgium, it's not that dramatic.

dramatic is what I heard the last few weeks in the media. actually I had this feeling allready a few years, and it was kinda growing gradually... what I'm talking about is the new kind of conservativism which is popping up rapidly. a kind of 'moral puritanity' pops up and it seems now to reach a very visible summit at this point. want some examples ?

ok let's go. first thing I remember, couple of months ago was that the antwerp province government refused an exhibition of the so-called 'phenomenal feminatheque', which is a collection of nude pictures from men's magazines, collected by an important Belgian writer called Louis-Paul Boon (+). Boon wrote some important literature and still s considered as an important writer in our country. so it was refused in antwerp, and it caused some discussion in the media between politicians and journalists.

second example happened just very recently, in the lil village called temse, close to sint-niklaas, where I live myself. the major of the village refused a show of a kinda stand-up comedian called Vitalski, in the local youth club (which is subsidised by the village authorities), just and only because they suspected that this stand-up comedian was going to take a serious piss on Belgium's fresh new prime minister, Yves Leterme. the major of the village happens to be a politician from the same party as the prime minister, which is a christian based democratic party by the way.

third example, last weekend, was a liberal major of a lil village called borgloon, who managed to censor a piece of art by an artist who transformed a land rover car into a kind of cheesy red lighted love shack, including the obvious retro pictures of nudes from men's magazines. on top of it, the major organised the exhibition himself, and the theme was 'fertility, eroticism and lust'. so one citizen complained about the fact that the work of art was indecent, the police checked it, went to the major, who made - and now listen, cause actually it's hilarious - all nipples hidden with black tape.

fourth and last for now : today, on the radio, I hear this superhot item now, about anorexia and how the fashion industry influences young girls to starve themselves to look like all these superskinny models. so this belgian politician, a woman from the liberal party called margriet hermans, a former kinda popular singer of cheesy songs, who happens to be 'not so skinny' (to say it very decent), ranted how they had to make this law that the fashion industry had to obey and that promoted a more 'realistic' kinda 'ideal' image of women. the skinny models gave a bad feeling to these young girls she said, cause they wanted to be like them. now I don't laugh for one second with anorexia, cause I truely think it's a real bad thing to happen to someone, but hell, give us a break... because 150 girls a year happen to face some serious problems cause they can't seem to be happy with what they have, and only want what they see, we all have to 'change' the ideal image into something politicians will 'command' to us by a fucking law ? so what's next ? obese girls ? as if that is ok and healthy ? point is, everything seems to be put into 'laws' and 'rules' these days. politicians who interfere with culture... when did we see that again go wrong in our european history ? bitter is that in this country, they needed 9 months to get a new government together, they now seem to be busy with interfering in one of the major things in a free society : culture. the freedom of the arts and the artists.

let's say it like this. let's hope the fashion designers say 'fuck off', let's hope the curators of exhibits say : 'get lost, I'll pay myself for it', and let's hope the stand-up comedians go even further. culture and artists always managed to change society, and people. censorship ? it's out there folks and watching you all. word. stay awake. never sleep.

the pulse : striking insight views on modern mass marketing.

2nd thought www.hypnoskull.com
today it was bombed. in zero's and one's it was bombed. promoting massively and without any shame the most ridiculous products you've ever heard about. like we always do it in style ? guess not. not really strange that their lack of style is so prominently there and so obviously visible, cause hey, those people just live in one giant soapbell and not even one made with a cigarette - you know, like those soapbell-blowing-streetartists-who-can-inhale-cigarette-smoke-and-blow-it-into-a-bubble - so anyway, their lives' scenery is this giant soapbell made out of nice smelling 'exclusive' soap offcourse, branded and marked with those corporate new - almost comparable to religious iconographic - symbols and logo's. 'fuck that, haal die haat uit je lichaam, gek, zet de televisie uit en doe het licht aan', yeah yeah, kubus & bang bang's 'pie and mash' album is on here. probably also marketed. but lets say, there is a difference. and fortunately or unfortunately (?) I was given the natural extra sense to smell the intention of marketeers like some supernosed dog can smell another dog's territorial pissing from over a mile's distance. current view : I don't dig your degree-made theoretical smelling marketing schemes. if there's no soul, there's no product and no client. so stay out of my territory.

1st thought www.hypnoskull.com
today it all was simple. car rides. essential car rides. sudden depths in concrete roads make the machine push shocks straight up to my wrists. fuck it. each mile is one closer to the recycling of it. and one closer to a replacement. of a replacement that still needs to be replaced cause it was in use too long and not even properly. rounds-per-minute and oil wasted too fast. mercedes-benz but not on 20" rims. and then there's this place where titanium birds fly into skies to far away distances and come back from them too. lovers meet there at artificial borders and watch screens with figures on them. someone tell me what went wrong in our evolution, please ? was it some 'lack of predators' that threw us into inventing absolutely ridiculous things and systems that are nowadays working entirely on linked plastics and boxed cheap-oriental-chip technology made in some godforsaken factory by human flesh robots ? tell me while I drink another coffee made from boxed chip-technology and tasting absolutely like some - probably fake - brazilian plantation.
